Each time you walk into a well-designed space, the decorations, colors, and furniture easily captivates. But more than delivering a pompous statement, interior design goes far beyond what the eyes can see. It holds an immense power to make spaces more compelling; it amplifies people’s experiences, improves mental health, enhances a sense of belonging and drives productivity. The list can go on and on.

Because of its capability to transform the quality of life of those utilizing a space, delivering great interior design has been one of our biggest passions. We do not only aim to make happy clients; it is also our joy to pass our knowledge and expertise to the next generation through our internship program.

Introducing Taylor Moser

Taylor Moser is a brilliant young woman who’s currently taking up a degree in Interior Design at Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Her love for interior design is rooted in their family. Her dad is an engineer but he always accomplished design-related tasks on the side. After graduating from Norwell High School, Taylor got a job with Sherwin Williams, where she enjoyed helping people design their homes. She transitioned from working on residential homes to commercial spaces.

During her senior year, she reached out to tons of businesses for her internship, but restrictions due to the pandemic made it difficult for her to land a company. After a series of closed doors, one finally opened where she felt right at home. She found Three Rivers Business Interiors through our Client Service Representative, Carol Emrick.

The Internship Experience

Ever growing, always improving, never finished. Taylor’s perception on interior design is very rich and on point. She had an outlook of being aware of new problems to overcome through design. We were eager to teach her everything we know, and to involve her with as many projects as possible.

Taking the COVID circumstance in consideration, she was exposed to finding design solutions that can aid in avoiding the spread of the virus in commercial spaces. It wasn’t just choosing décor and decorating, but more about wellness and functionality.

Taylor enjoyed all the little and big details that go into each work—such as going on site and meeting clients, finding materials or finishes, looking over floor plans, and taking measurements. It is a delight to have her because she truly delights in learning all aspects.

“The biggest thing for me is being in an environment with co-workers and other professionals who are in the field. The experience solidified my passion for commercial design compared to residential. There’s so much to do! Working on 7-10 projects at a time was challenging but at the same time, lots of fun,” shared Taylor.

Working with TRBI exposed her to “positive people who love what they do.”
